A new field was added to a database view used by an existing Crystal Report — it shows correctly with real data when previewed inside Crystal Reports itself, but when the same report is run through IFS, the new field is simply blank/missing, while every other change to the report is visible.

Answer

Check whether the service account Crystal Reports actually runs under when executed through IFS (typically IFSPRINT) is assigned to a Company/Site — in a confirmed case, the account wasn't connected to any company or site, which silently blocked it from retrieving data from the specific view involved due to the platform's own site-access validation on that view. Reports run directly inside Crystal Developer under a different, fully-provisioned account won't show this problem, which is exactly why it can look like the new field itself is broken when the real issue is the execution account's own site/company assignment.
