A new field was added to a database view used by an existing Crystal Report — it shows correctly with real data when previewed inside Crystal Reports itself, but when the same report is run through IFS, the new field is simply blank/missing, while every other change to the report is visible.
Operational Report parameters can show a dropdown of values when linked to an existing API's Enumerate() method (like Pur_Order_Print_Option_API.Enumerate()), but there's no such method available for a needed field (like Org Code) — is there a way to build a custom, hardcoded dropdown list for a report parameter without writing a whole custom API package to mimic an Enumerate() method?
A Crystal Report currently uses two separate views, and a new consolidated view (that includes/combines both) was created to add another condition — using Set Datasource Location to point the report at the new view (to preserve the existing layout) doesn't actually remove the old links to the two original views.
In IEE, there was a setting ('IEE Feature for Previewing BR Reports') that let you preview an IFS Business Reporter report directly inside the client — is there an equivalent way to view a Business Reporter report from within Aurena?
Reprinting a modified Customer Invoice takes 5+ minutes to generate the PDF (with no errors), while the Debug Console shows the time being spent mostly in ReportRuleEngine.GetReportDefaults and the report-generation server calls — what's the general approach to diagnosing this kind of report-specific slowdown?
Installing a delivery/fix that includes an updated report layout fails with 'ReportLayoutDefinition.FND_RECORD_NOT_EXIST: The Report Layout Definition does not exist' during layout import, even though the .RDL file itself is present in the delivery folder.
Is it possible to build a Quick Report against History Logging data (for example, tracking changes to Supplier or Customer records) to get an Excel extract, since the standard report generator can show this but doesn't give a Quick-Report-style export?
Is there a way to find or reconstruct the SQL/logic behind a standard operational report (like Shop Order Work In Progress) without already knowing its underlying view or package names?
Is it possible to disable/block the 'Send E-Mail To...' option in the Report Format & Output (Print) dialog for Order Reports, so users can't email an operational report's output directly from that dialog?
Is there a way to get a Quick Report's output delivered as a genuine UTF-8-encoded CSV file (rather than the default) via an Application Server Task — a customer specifically needs UTF-8 CSV output, not Excel?
A Quick Report scheduled via an Application Server Task (and its underlying Database Task) shows the background job completing successfully (Ready status), but the Application Server Task itself stays in 'Waiting' status and the expected email never arrives — how do you troubleshoot this?
Creating a new Report Designer layout for a barcode report (repositioning/centering the barcode and adjusting font sizes) causes the barcode to disappear entirely from the rendered output, even though nothing else about the report's data changed.
A specific Report Designer report shows Error status in Print Manager, but the message field for that entry is completely empty — how do you find out what the actual underlying error was?
The 'View Details...' option used to be available on a Quick Report, taking you to the actual IFS screen the underlying data came from — is there a way to enable this, since it doesn't seem to be showing up anymore?
A new company logo added to a Report Designer layout's header displays correctly when the report is run, but a separately added footer image doesn't show up at all — is this because the footer image is too large, and how do you troubleshoot it (Apps8)?
Is there a way to raise the maximum row limit on an Output Channel export (e.g. via Excel export) past its default cap, and what's the reasoning behind that cap in the first place?
Is there a token like #YESTERDAY# that works for a Quick Report's date parameters when the report is run as a scheduled Application Server Task, the way similar tokens work for custom events?
Is it possible to add a custom document footer to a Report Designer report (like a Quotation Letter) entirely through the .report file, without modifying the auto-generated RDF?
What does the 'Make Report Designer PDF/A compliant' system parameter actually do, and is there any downside to leaving it enabled if PDF/A signing isn't actually being used?
The Report Rule Log screen (particularly on older releases like Apps8) shows a report rule is in error, but doesn't display enough detail in the visible columns to understand why — is there more detail available anywhere?
A Quick Report built on a pipelined result from a custom PL/SQL package function (e.g. `SELECT * FROM TABLE(my_custom_api.Get_Something(...))`) runs fine directly and previews correctly, but fails specifically when using the 'Export to Excel' option — what's different about that export path?
A Quick Report scheduled to email results via a recurring Application Server Task only sends the email once, even though a recurring schedule pattern is configured and the task's status still shows 'Waiting' rather than completed or failed — what's wrong?
Is a Quick Report's SQL query subject to the same roughly-4000-character limit that applies to a Custom Menu's SQL expression?
Sending an email from the Order Report print dialog fails with the print job left in 'ERROR' status, even though the associated Application Message shows 'FINISHED' — where should you actually look to find the real underlying error, since the print job status alone doesn't explain it?
Is there a dedicated Power BI plug-in for IFS Applications 9, or does integrating Power BI with an Apps9 environment require a different approach?
Selecting multiple Shop Orders and printing their Work Instructions together generates one combined print job — is there a way to apply different Report Rule behavior to individual orders within that same batch-printed job (for example, printing some silently and prompting for others)?
Trying to open a Crystal web report in IFS produces an error, and inspecting the report server configuration shows the relevant instance listed as a plain folder rather than an application — what does that mean, and how is it fixed?
IFS Report Designer's connection dialog asks for a host:port, but an IFS Cloud environment's login is just a URL with no port — is it possible to connect Report Designer (installed on a developer's machine) to IFS Cloud, and does it require setting up an IAM Client?
A user with nearly all system privileges still can't see or create 'Information Sources'-category Data Sources in the Lobby Data Source Designer, even though an IFSAPP login on the same environment shows them fine — what permission is actually needed?
A newly created Order Report using a Crystal layout throws an error when previewed, and the underlying view referenced doesn't look like a core application view — what's a common fix?
A copied and lightly modified Crystal report layout fails with a generic 'no PDF returned' error from Crystal Web Services, even though the original layout it was copied from still works fine with identical print options — how do you find the actual underlying cause?
IFS Cloud's Quick Reports don't have the Query Builder report type (letting you visually pick from existing views) that IFS 10/Enterprise Explorer has — is this a bug, an oversight, or intentionally left out?
Clicking OK on a report (like Customer Statement of Account) produces an 'Unable to register new print job' error — does this mean the print job is simply queued behind another one, or does it mean it won't run at all?
A Report Rule condition checking whether a variable (like [#Email]) equals NULL always evaluates to false, even when the field is confirmed blank when the report runs — why doesn't a plain 'equals NULL' condition work, and how should this actually be checked?
Saved Queries in IEE supported writing custom SQL with GROUP BY and aggregate functions (SUM, etc.) — is this same capability available for Saved Searches in Aurena?
Is it possible to schedule a Quick Report (via Application Server Task) to be generated daily and saved as an XML file on the server, rather than the Excel format?
Triggering a label print (.rpl layout) via a PL/SQL-based deferred call fails with 'PluginExecute Failed. null,' while the exact same PL/SQL flow works fine when the layout is a regular report (.rdl) instead — what's different about triggering an .rpl label layout this way?
A modified/renamed copy of a native IFS Operational Report layout has been set up and marked as the active layout in Report Definitions (with the original native report toggled off), but ordering the report still produces the native IFS layout instead of the custom one — what's the missing step?
Adding a non-logo image (like a footer graphic) to an Order Report layout is confusing — where do you actually upload or place the image file so it's found at runtime?
