A Quick Dimension needs to be connected to an existing Fact information source's access view (so it can be queried alongside the fact's other dimensions), but adding it through the Information Sources screen fails (no matching dimension ID on the fact table), and the Custom Dimension Connections screen also errors out. Add a Data Access Details entry for the Quick Dimension and, for its view name, reuse the same view name that's already used under the Fact's existing Online View mapping — rather than trying to create a separate join path through Information Sources or Custom Dimension Connections, pointing the Quick Dimension's access details at that same underlying view is what actually connects it to the Fact for querying.
