Exporting a Crystal-Report-based Quick Report only seems to produce an XML file, not the actual .rpt layout file the report reference shows as being used — is the .rpt file stored somewhere separate from what a normal quick-report export retrieves?

Before assuming the .rpt file isn't included, check your browser's actual downloads folder rather than just the download notification — in at least one case, the browser (Chrome) genuinely downloaded both the XML export and the .rpt file together, but only showed a notification for one of them; the .rpt file was present in the downloads folder the whole time, and the perceived 'missing file' was purely a browser-notification quirk, not an actual gap in what the quick-report export produces.
