Is a Quick Report's SQL query subject to the same roughly-4000-character limit that applies to a Custom Menu's SQL expression?

Answer

No — a Custom Menu's expression is stored in a field capped around 4000 characters, but a Quick Report's SQL is stored in a CLOB column (SQL_EXPRESSION on QUICK_REPORT_TAB), which has essentially no practical length limit for this purpose. A Quick Report query can be considerably longer than what a Custom Menu's expression would tolerate.
