Is it possible to schedule a Quick Report (via Application Server Task) to be generated daily and saved as an XML file on the server, rather than the Excel format?

Answer

No — at that point, Scheduled Quick Reports only supported generating output in Excel format; XML wasn't an available output option for a scheduled Quick Report task. If XML output is a hard requirement, it would need to come from a different mechanism than the standard Scheduled Quick Report Application Server Task path.
