Who's responsible for installing and connecting a customer's own Crystal Server/Crystal Web Service (CWS) to their IFS Cloud environment — is this something the customer can do themselves, or does it require opening a support case?

This depends on the environment's residency option. If the environment is on 'Remote' residency, the customer can install and configure CWS themselves, following IFS's own CWS setup documentation for remote-deploy environments. If the environment is on 'Cloud' residency (fully managed by IFS), CWS installation has to be requested by opening a support case, since the customer doesn't have direct install access to that kind of environment.
