Can a document like a quotation be exported directly to Excel from the page it's shown on?
A custom reference field shows data for some users but appears blank for others.
How do we find out when a country-specific extension or update is planned for release?
Auto-attaching a generated PDF via a Report Rule works for one document type (like a sales quotation) but not another (like a purchase order).
Where do we find the basic/setup data requirements for enabling a specific country's localization before integration work starts?
A custom field interprets entered text as a calculation — for example, "60-80" gets read as subtraction instead of stored as a range.
A standard free-of-charge (FOC) order and invoice flow isn't accepted by a specific country's fiscal requirements.
Is Hindi available as one of IFS Cloud's supported/translated languages out of the box?
A new print language (e.g. Croatian) is enabled and translatable in Used Languages, and the report's field/label content has been translated in Text Translations, and the Language Cache has been refreshed — but the language still doesn't appear as an option in the print/reprint language dropdown for that report. What's missing?
Since a service update resets core-layer field translations back to their shipped defaults, is there a supported way to export the custom translations a customer has applied (particularly to core Report fields) beforehand, so they can be re-imported after each update rather than lost?
Special characters like € or ® display garbled (e.g. showing as extra characters like Â) when defined as values in an enumeration file, even though the source file itself looks correct.
When installing a Localization pack (e.g. for a specific country) that will be used on a Company, does it matter whether the Localization pack is installed before or after the Company is created?
A Lobby help page (or other help text) shows garbled/mojibake characters for a translated language, instead of the correct localized text — how do you actually fix a broken translation like this?
Is there a way to automatically translate entered data (like a Description field) into other languages when a customer works in multiple languages, rather than relying on users to manually translate and copy/paste each language version themselves?
A persistent attribute (like a 'Description' field) on a custom entity needs to hold translatable text content — is there a way to enable translation for a persistent custom attribute's actual value?
A non-Latin script font (for example, a Sinhala font like Iskoola Pota) has been installed on the IFS application server and the server restarted, and the font shows correctly in both SQL and the Crystal Report preview tool — but the same report still doesn't render that font correctly when previewed from inside the IFS application itself. What's missing?
Can the standard language-text translation facility pick up and translate the message text raised from a Custom Event Action's PL/SQL (e.g. via `Error_SYS.Record_General`), the way it translates standard application text?
What's the correct approach to translating an IFS Crystal report layout into another language (e.g. Chinese), so the right language version prints depending on what the user selects in the print dialog?
Is there a way to override or 'overtake' a Core-layer text translation (like a Navigator entry's name) entirely from the Customization layer, without directly editing the Core .trs translation file and risking future Core updates?
Reconfiguring the 'Default IFS Enterprise Explorer Language' setting to a specific language (like en-GB) doesn't actually change the client's language — it stays on 'Use Regional Language' regardless. What's the correct way to change it?
The exact same report layout produces noticeably different overall line spacing on a generated PDF depending on which language is selected when previewing (e.g. English versus German), with no Report Rule involved that would explain a formatting difference — what else could be causing this?
Some Japanese characters display as blank boxes/'null □' in IEE's Navigation Menu specifically (on certain client PCs), even though the same Japanese text displays correctly elsewhere in the client (like the Context Panel) — what's causing this specific, localized rendering failure?
Aurena's number-grouping setting (adding commas to large numbers) is configured per-user under Account Settings — is there a way to apply this setting for all users at once, rather than each person having to set it individually?
A newly created Company only offers English as a selectable language in Aurena, even though 4 languages exist and work fine in IEE — selecting and saving a different language in Aurena doesn't persist after logging back in. What resolves this?
The 'Amounts to Words' function in Report Designer correctly converts numeric amounts into words for languages like German, but for Arabic or Korean it silently falls back to English instead of translating.
The minus sign shown for negative currency figures in printed IFS reports differs by language — English uses a short ASCII hyphen-minus, while Swedish uses a longer minus glyph — and a downstream OCR tool (Pagero) doesn't recognize the longer character, causing processing failures for customers receiving the Swedish version.
Is it possible to translate specific text shown in the Enterprise Explorer client itself, like changing a specific field label on a form from one wording to another for a given language, and shouldn't that translation just live in the database like other IFS translations?
