Debugging a screen tells you which Oracle view it uses, but is there a way to go the other direction — starting from a known view/structure (for example, one you've overridden with a _CFV/_CFT custom-field view) and finding every screen that references it?
Developer Studio won't let a new project be created — the New Project dialog doesn't behave the way training material shows, with no clear error explaining why.
After reconfiguring the middleware server to apply a new SSL certificate, clients start showing 'Client has requested to run in invalid locale... Correct your Locale Setting' when printing a quick report — even though users can dismiss it and the report still prints, and it doesn't affect every user.
Starting a second HTTP Server instance (e.g. HttpServer2) on an on-prem/remote Windows middleware server fails, with the Oracle HTTP Server (OHS) log showing 'SSL is not enabled for the admin port of HttpServer2' and an unhelpful non-zero exit status, even though the required SSL certificate has already been imported.
COMMAND_SYS.Mail's to_list_ parameter rejects a list of multiple email addresses no matter how they're separated (tried semicolons, parentheses) — what's the correct syntax for sending to more than one recipient?
After a fresh remote-deployment install, all components show as installed and active in the environment, but the solutionset.yaml being used still lists many components as inactive/false — and subsequent Service Update installations then throw errors that may be related. Is this expected?
A pod stuck in Error status can't be deleted — kubectl delete pod <name> reports it can't find the pod, even though kubectl get pods clearly shows it running/errored in that namespace.
A Build Place delivery fails deploying a .cdb file with ORA-06550 / PLS-00103 ('Encountered the symbol "/"'), even though the exact same PL/SQL blocks deploy fine when run through Developer Studio directly.
The technical documentation lists every possible parameter for every module in ifscloud-values.yaml, but it's unclear which ones actually need to be included in a given deployment's file versus left out. Does every parameter shown for an active module (per solutionset.yaml) need to be explicitly set?
Is it safe to delete previous IFS Home backup folders that get created automatically when a new IFS Home instance is set up?
A report/quick-report that works fine on an older version fails on a newer one with 'Undefined bind variable' errors, but only when the underlying SQL uses a bind variable — removing the bind variable (and passing the same filtering via an IN clause instead) makes it work, even though the SQL with the bind variable runs fine when tested directly in a SQL client.
When an Application Configuration Package (ACP) export ends up containing custom fields belonging to two or more different components/modules (e.g. one field in Enterprise/enterp and another in Accrual/accrul), how should that be organized in the customer-solution git repository — does it need to be split into separate ACP files per component?
IFS's own documentation for the ifscore.networkpolicy.enabled installation parameter just restates its name ('Set to true to activate network policy') without explaining what it actually restricts. How do you find out exactly what traffic this setting controls?
Calling a standard *_API.MODIFY__() procedure (like EXTERNAL_CUST_ORDER_LINE_API.MODIFY__) requires an objid_ and objversion_, but these values can't be found directly on the entity's own base table (only in an _ALL view, or not obviously at all) — how do you determine the right values to pass, and is there a safe way to run this kind of ad-hoc update outside the interactive client?
Deploying the middle tier fails at ifs-db-init with 'No certificates are loaded for ifs-db-init-certs' followed by an ORA-01017 invalid username/password error, even though the config files and the main.ps1 script itself run without complaint.
The ifsapp-amm pod's startup probe keeps failing with 'Unable to connect to database,' even though the ifsmon-password and ifsapp-user passwords used to connect have both been double-checked and look correct.
Upgrading IFS Cloud from 22.2 to 23.1 fails with ORA-00932 ('inconsistent datatypes: expected UDT got CLOB') compiling core packages like FRAMEWORK_SERVICES_SVC and NAVIGATOR_SYS around a JSON_OBJECT(...) statement, blocking login entirely, with no customizations involved.
A projection function that returns an array of results (via a List<Structure> return type) returns the expected data when tested directly in PL/SQL, but a REST GET request calling the same function through OData returns an empty array with no error.
Print Manager intermittently fails with 'No PDF report returned from Crystal Web Service' under load, right after applying an Apps 10 update — the Crystal Web Service log shows 'The web instance is busy, request will be forwarded to the next available instance.' Is this just a capacity issue needing more CWS instances?
The In-Memory Acceleration Package screen documentation says custom packages can be created, but there's no '+' (New) button visible on the screen in the Aurena client to actually create one. Is this a bug, or is client-based creation intentionally blocked?
Creating a custom SSL certificate for IFS Cloud using an internal Windows/Microsoft Certificate Authority fails IFS's own certificate verification with 'signature check failed,' even though the CSR, template, and export (with private key) all appear to have been done correctly.
Is there a way to duplicate an entire custom Logical Unit (fields, types, configuration) to quickly create several near-identical custom LUs, rather than manually recreating each field one at a time?
A Scheduled Database Task that automatically creates Consolidated Pick Lists for Customer Orders, which had been running reliably for a month, suddenly starts failing with 'The State Codes does not exist... Country/State: US, State Code: *'. Nothing was intentionally changed about the addresses involved.
Is there a way to get IFS Cloud's full menu/navigator tree exported to Excel, to review or document the page structure?
A custom Logical Unit's database table stops staying in sync with its model — adding and then removing a column, running Synchronize each time, still leaves the column present in the actual database table afterward, even though the model itself looks correct.
A SQL COUNT query used to check for duplicate values on a Custom Page returns the correct number when run directly in a SQL query tool, but always returns 0 when embedded as the same-looking query on the custom page itself, comparing what look like the same values.
Deploying the Middle Tier to a remote environment fails trying to reach the database host on port 10250 with a connection-refused error, but 'prepare database' and 'deploy IFS application database code' both completed without any issues. Should the database server actually have port 10250 open?
Printing a report to a Zebra label printer fails with 'PLUGIN EXCEPTION... PluginExecute Failed. OutputBinary failed printer is null,' across both the Java and .NET Print Agents, even with a virtual PDF printer installed as a test target.
A client screen (e.g. Customer Info) throws an internal error like 'PLSQLEnumeration.Unpack... Number of DB values do not match the number of CLIENT values' for an enumeration used on that screen, appearing consistently on a newly-built/cloned system, even after re-cloning the database multiple times.
The server/alert log shows ORA-20175: Login.Projection_Meta_Modified ('Metadata for projection [X] has been modified'). What does this actually mean, and how do you resolve it?
Is there a way to define a custom sample value for a TEXT-type attribute in a projection, so API Doc Viewer shows something more useful than the generic 'It is a Text' placeholder?
Why can't API Explorer be found in Apps 10 — it doesn't appear as an option anywhere in the client?
Setting up a ZPL/Zebra printer, a guide says to configure it via an Application Server Task with Job Type 'PrintAgent,' but that job type doesn't appear in the Job Type dropdown at all. Where does Print Agent actually get configured, and is installing Print Agent itself mandatory just to print reports?
Is there a specific reason not to install Print Agent directly on the same server as the application (MWS), instead of a separate dedicated Windows machine?
After a reconfiguration (e.g. following a certificate update), a new Print Agent package gets regenerated, but it's not obvious where to find the new installer to actually deploy it.
How do you include a custom Database Task (and its associated custom PL/SQL package) in a delivery/customer-solution repository, given that exporting the Database Task itself only produces an XML file, and there doesn't seem to be an export option for its Schedule?
Reconfiguring the Middleware Server after installing a new domain SSL certificate fails partway through with an Ant-script error stopping the HTTP server component, even though the certificate itself was imported without any reported errors.
Developer Studio suddenly can't open any project — the Projects tab emptied itself, and trying to reopen an existing project throws a Java ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException inside password-decryption code, with nothing happening when Open Project is clicked.
Developer Studio's installer won't complete on Windows 11 — the configuration popup disappears and no installation wizard ever appears, on two separate Windows 11 machines.
